Who we are

MEGA — Make Europe Great Again — is a civic movement that runs this website to gather signatures of support, sell the MEGA cap, and accept donations. This policy explains what data we collect, why, and how to ask us to remove it.

What we collect

When you sign the charter, we collect your first name, email, city, and country. When you order a cap, Stripe collects your shipping address and payment details on our behalf, and we keep a record of the order. When you donate, Stripe processes your payment details and we record the amount and your email.

We also receive standard request data — IP address, browser type, and the page you requested — to keep the service running and protect against abuse.

Why we collect it

To confirm your charter signature by email, ship the cap to you if you ordered one, issue a receipt for your donation, occasionally update you about the movement, and prevent fraud or abuse of the forms. We do not sell or rent your data to anyone.

Cookies

We use a small functional cookie to remember you between visits so you don't have to re-enter your details on the cap order form, and another small cookie that records you've dismissed the cookie banner. A couple of anonymous analytics cookies identify a browser within a session, never a person.

Analytics

To understand how the site performs and where visitors get stuck, we use privacy-respecting analytics. No personally identifiable information is collected, and we do not track you across other websites.

Who we share it with

We rely on a small set of trusted service providers for payment processing, email delivery, hosting, and analytics — each bound by their own data processing terms. Cap orders and donations are processed by Stripe. We do not share your data with anyone else, and we do not transfer it for advertising, profiling, or any unrelated purpose.

How long we keep it

Charter signatures are kept for as long as the movement is active or until you ask us to delete them, whichever comes first. Cap orders and donation records are kept for the period required by tax law in the relevant jurisdiction. Server logs and anonymous analytics data are retained for 30 days, then deleted automatically.

Your rights

You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time by emailing contact@europegreatagain.org. We'll remove your record from our database and our payment processor within a reasonable timeframe and confirm by reply. Where we're required by law to retain records (such as tax-related order or donation data), we'll tell you what stays and why.

If you live in the EU/EEA, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy occasionally as the project evolves. Material changes will be reflected on this page with a new “last updated” date.
